Jewish Federation of San Antonio

The Jewish Federation Annual Campaign supports local agencies: Jewish Family Service, Golden Manor Jewish Senior Services, the Barshop Jewish Community Centerand the Eleanor Kolitz Academy.  The Campaign also supports overseas needs for social services in Israel and internationally.  Chai High, the Beldon Library, the CRC, the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio, the San Antonio Jewish Coalition for Literacy, S.A. GIVEBACK,  and the Maimonides Society programs are other Federation programs supported by the Annual Campaign. Stand up and be counted!

Israel's Gaza operation last winter spurred a record number of anti-Semitic attacks in Britain during the past year. The organization recording anti-Semitic incidents, the Community Security Trust, reported an increase in incidents of 55 percent from the previous year. The 924 incidents were the most since records have been kept.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio expresses concern for all those impacted by the earthquake in Haiti. Our Federation has opened a mailbox to collect funds to help the people of Haiti.  One hundred percent of the donations we receive will go to the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, to help the earthquake victims.  To donate click JFSA HAITI RELIEF.  To learn MORE on HAITI.

Jewish Catholic Dialogue

in San Antonio

Local Jews and Catholics  will have an opportunity for in-depth dialogue in a six week series which will commence on Wednesday, January 6 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Sponsored by the Oblate School of Theology and the Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, the series is entitled "Walking God's Path: Christians and Jews in Candid Conversation."  The series is underwritten by Light One Candle.  Cost for the entire series is $25.00.  For more information and registration information, click Walking God's Path.
