Quilling Artist

I am a longtime San Antonio local, and mother with two children. I started my artistic journey a bit later in life at the age of 42. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. In the summer of 2019, I found some old strips of paper in my art closet and with COVID shutting everything down I thought what could I do with these. I started with a bowl, then moved up to gift tags and ornaments then created a Hamsa and then knew I had found my niche. I have always loved art and once I mastered my skill with quilling I was in love. It’s exciting, it’s creative and definitely different. It’s as unique as I am. It gives me a creative outlet, and a fun distraction when my plate becomes full. The more I created and expressed myself I started to feel a stream of confidence in myself like no other. This confidence and creativity has exploded over the past two years and I am finally ready to share it with the world, thus bringing you Colorful Anxiety.
